This is a small town boasting an outstanding quality of life thanks to the abundance of recreational and cultural arts opportunities, several acres of award-winning parkland as well as a wide range of dining and shopping options. The community is also known for being blessed with several budding talents, so attending its annual Showcase of Talent which holds in February may mean you get to see a future celebrity. Miss North Carolina 2012 Arlie Honeycutt showcased her talents at the GPAC annual event, as did ‘American Idol’ winner Scott McCreery.
